Oxford Sable-Lite Artist Brush Part # BR50: Brushing water-based clear coats can be one of the most challenging applications a finisher can come up against.

Air entrapment, lap-marks and streaks are a common by-product of this method when the wrong combination of finishes and brushes are used. Even well engineered consumer products perform poorly when a stiff, synthetic "made for water-based" brush is used, therefore we ventured out into the artists world to fined a solution to a universal problem.

Due to a unique bristle filament known as Taklon™, the Oxford Sable-Lite™ Artist Brush has demonstrated the ability to apply thin layers of water-based coatings without pumping air into the finish during the brush stroke. This enables our Oxford Varnishes and Polyurethanes to be brush applied onto a variety of surface profiles without the problems of foaming and air entrapment. When used in conjunction with our SA5 Retarder the finisher will experience a truly successful brush applied finish.
