Although you might be able to call the labeling a little misleading you can certainly make that claim on most of the solvent based materials available these days. I use water based products because of the the lower hazards and easier clean up. I use Target Coating because it is the best water based product produced.

Don't worry about the marketing hype for "traditional finishes." Those materials were used by guys who had steak and eggs for breakfast with a cigarette, drove to work without seatbelts in a car running on leaded gasoline, had a well-stocked bar in their offices so they could drink all day, didn't provide their employees with respirators or safety equipment, fired workers for getting pregnant, slapped their secretaries on the backside, littered, all the while the State of California wasn't warning them about anything.

Today you'll start to find that people are impressed with new technology especially if it's friendlier for the environment, not to mention that WB coatings are by and large more durable than nitrocellulose lacquer.

Being from California, a state which is Bankrupt, and over regulated, CARB, EPA.....ect. adding MTBE to gasoline USED to be a good idea, it's now banned due to it's toxic nature. Carpool lanes are another failed control.
The "Greeness" of the WB products, are a side benefit. It's the quality of the end finish and the ease of application, that's the deciding factor on which we spend our hard earned money. If the quality is not there we would not use it, it's that simple.

I do NOT believe that Jeff has mislead any of us who have taken the time to read product description and actually USE the WBs from Target / Oxford.
Old habits are hard to break, how many of us actually like change? Yeah, me neither.

I hope Target Coatings continues to evolve and prosper, we all benefit from their success, environmentally and professionally.

Jeff,
Maybe Mr. Flexner has not been around the waterbornes to know how we have suffered, and how far we have come. In the 1980's I started using Varathanes Diamond Cote, which I felt was the best at the time. It was blue in color, gummed when sanded, and was marginal in durability. I then found CrystalLac, which seemed like the answer. Much better, but with many of the same problems. In the late 90's I found Target Coatings, a finish in a class of it's own. In the 10 or so years I have been using your product I have seen significant "generational" changes in the performance of your product. Thank you and keep up the good work.
