One question I had was on the 3M Superfine pad. What grit is superfine?
Thanks

Jeff,
I found this "old" post when I recently got a great deal on some flame-grained Honduras mahogany and decided to build a bedroom suite out of it. Your finishing schedule is a long and arduous one but, for me, the results were spectacular and well worth it. My final clear coats were either 6000 or 8000 depending on which piece and which part of each piece (e.g., I finished the top of the chest-of-drawers in 8000 (because of all the "stuff" that will get put on the top) and the rest of the chest in 6000. The picture of the headboard shows how your schedule popped the grain, especially on the "flamed" bookmatched raised panels in the headboard. Thanks for showing us how to use you products to their full advantage. |

Many thanks for posting your photo and review. Keep up the good work, you certainly have a good handle on what you are doing.
