Beautiful Christian! I just finished up an ocean burst Tele. Here are a couple of photos of it. Colors on the indoor pic are more what the burst looks like--I lost the green in the outdoor photo, making the guitar look all blue. I also tried a water slide decal under the EM6000, and it worked like a champ!

Ken, is the color in your decal from the printer or did you ink it in between the lines?

Bob, the color in the decal is from my printer. I printed it, shot it with a couple of coats of non-water based lacquer, cut it out and put it on, then shot 10 to 12 coats of EM6000 over the top. I did have several base coats of EM6000 down and leveled prior to installing the logo. The logo was modeled from the Fender logo on my '99 tele. I tried to get a reasonable approximation.

Hello everyone. Here's my first post and my first time using Target products. It's a little less than traditional but I'm quite happy with the results.

Reminds me of the decoupage lunchboxes my sister used to make using shellac. Only yours doesn't have an amber tinge to the topcoating.

Nice, gillactus! Would you mind explaining your process?

Thanks, guys!

@Jeff: It wouldn't have been possible without your top notch products. Thank you.

@Ben: There isn't too much to explain. I cut out the comics and glued them on to an unfinished body, just like arts and crafts time back in pre-school. I gradually built up some thickness with EM1000 before leveling it all out (since the comics were nowhere near flat after gluing) then used EM6000 for a topcoat. A labour intensive project, to say the least, but tons of fun!

The more I use this stuff, the more I'm in love with it. Everything here is a version of 6000, some satin some gloss, some with TC sealer underneath, some without. Really got my gun dialed in perfectly for the TC products recently, and it's been a joy to use since...

Couldn't be happier. The purple kit was buffed using the arbor & compound kit from Stew-Mac, the 6000 flows great with that setup.
