EMTECH HSF5000PSF is a high solids waterborne primer, surfacer and filler specifically formulated for use on open grained wood, MDF and engineered veneers to help provide a smooth, non-textured appearance to the base substrate when finished with clear or pigmented top coats. HSF5000PSF is available in three different color bases: Neutral Base (HSF51xx) for finishing natural open grained woods, and in Primer White (HSF52xx) and Primer Grey (HSF53xx) for priming/surfacing MDF prior to applying pigmented topcoats.
The Neutral version can be tinted with water-soluble dyes or pigments to create a transparent or translucent ground color of matching or offsetting colors to add accent to the negative wood grain being filled.
The use of HSF5000PSF reduces the total number of intermediate and final topcoat applications required to obtain a final, high-build finish. The fast drying characteristics of HSF5000PSF allows for preparation sanding and topcoat applications in as little as 2 hours after the last coat of HSF5000PSF has been applied.
