Over the span of 30+ years I have used a wide array of compressed air spray guns, ranging from conventional high-pressure types to what was considered new technology at the time, HVLP and LVLP guns. As HVLP technology became more widespread, I saw an improvement in both atomization quality, overall gun design and ergonomics. The Fuji LX-20 compressed air gun has really caught my attention in both of these categories.
LX-20 Advantages
This spray gun offers excellent atomization qualities when spraying modern waterborne finishes. Also, the Fuji LX-20 feels light in the hand but still has a solid feel to it. The LX-20 is designed for use in both production and DIY settings where compressed-air is available.
The Fuji LX-20™ is a great HVLP spray gun for use with all Emtech waterborne wood finishes. It can handle all of our coatings when fitted with the right air cap set. We’ve set this gun up with a 1.4mm air cap set, 600cc nylon gravity cup and a mini-air regulator gauge to get you pointed in the right direction to spray all Emtech clear top coats such as the EM6000, EM7000, EM8000 and EM9300.

Included in the LX-20 kit is a 1.0mm and 2.0mm tip set.
The 1.0mm set is perfect for spraying low solids, lower viscosity finishes such as our Emtech EM1000 Sealer, USH3000 Shellac and our NR4000 Stains.
The 2.0mm set is ideal for spraying heavy-bodied, high solids primers and top coats such as our Emtech HSF5000 Primer and the EM6500 and EM6600 Pigmented Lacquers.
Also included is a sturdy gun wrench, cleaning brush and a convenient User Manual.
Fuji LX-20 HVLP Compressor Spray Gun Specs
The LX-20™ is easy to operate, employing familiar controls like all spray guns. The side-mounted fan pattern control offers precise adjustment reducing overspray and waste. At a spray distance of 8” the fan pattern size ranges up to 13”. The fluid volume control is located in the traditional position behind the fluid needle. The fine thread setting of the fluid knob gives the finisher excellent control to manage fluid volume through the precision tip set.
